ARC Raiders Progress Guide: What to Finish Before Expedition 5 — U4N

For experienced players, the weeks leading into September are an important preparation period in ARC Raiders. Anyone working toward a stronger inventory or collecting ARC Raiders BluePrints should take the opportunity to review unfinished objectives, limited events, and resource requirements before Expedition 5 begins.

The upcoming progression changes make this preparation especially useful. Players with valuable ARC Raiders BluePrints and established quest progress will have new choices regarding Expedition resets, while the Frozen Trail update is scheduled to arrive on October 8. Getting organized now can make the transition much smoother.

The Phantom Targets Deadline

The Phantom Targets event is the most urgent task because it has a fixed ending date. The event is scheduled to disappear on September 6.

Players should focus on completing Shani's research-related objectives before that deadline. The event does not require waiting for the next major update, so there is little benefit in leaving the remaining tasks unfinished.

Completing the event unlocks the Anomalya Outfit, which is one of the main reasons veteran players should prioritize Phantom Targets. Limited cosmetics are different from ordinary crafting materials because missing the event can mean losing the opportunity to earn the reward altogether.

If you have already completed most of the objectives, finishing the final stages should be one of your immediate goals.

Quest Progress Is Now More Flexible

Expedition 5 introduces an important change to progression. Players will have an option to preserve their current quest progress instead of automatically accepting a reset.

For veterans, this choice matters because resetting can mean repeating early progression tasks that have already been completed before. If your storyline and trader quests are already well advanced, preserving that progress can save a substantial amount of time.

Before September 8, review your active quests and finish anything that is close to completion. You should also consider which objectives are genuinely worth resetting for.

The developers have also indicated that players who do not reset will eventually have alternative ways to unlock certain blueprints normally connected to quest resets. The Hullcracker Blueprint is specifically relevant here, so players should not assume that preserving progression means permanently losing access to important unlocks.

Caravan Preparation Matters

Caravan requirements should also be completed before the Expedition transition. Incomplete Caravans will be wiped and converted into Ermal Vouchers when the window changes.

This makes the preparation stage more important than simply gathering random loot. Look at your current requirements and concentrate on the materials and objectives that are still within reach.

The September 8 Expedition window will require manual registration, so completing your Caravan preparation ahead of time means you can make that decision without scrambling at the last moment.

Protect Valuable Resources

Inventory management is another useful part of preparation. Blueprints, crafting materials, and high-tier equipment can all become important during future progression.

Stash rewards from previous runs can build up to a maximum of 60 slots. If your storage is cluttered, remove items that have little practical value and make room for resources that you are more likely to use.

This is also a good time to look at your preferred loadouts. Rather than storing everything, focus on equipment that supports the way you actually play. A smaller, organized stash is often more useful than a large collection of items you never touch.

Build Your Long-Term Progress

Seasonal Trials and consecutive runs provide additional preparation opportunities. Bonuses related to Repair Value, Scrappy Materials, and XP can become increasingly valuable when Expeditions enter their extended pause.

Consecutive bonuses can reach three stacks, so players close to the maximum should consider finishing the necessary runs. These improvements can support more efficient farming and progression during the months when Expeditions are unavailable.

Completing five out of five Expeditions is also important for anyone pursuing the full Zenith Evolved Outfit permanently. That makes Expedition planning relevant beyond September itself.

Get Ready for the September Window

The key dates are straightforward. Phantom Targets ends September 6, Expedition 5 opens September 8, Trials Season 5 ends September 22, and Expedition 5 closes September 29. Frozen Trail is then scheduled for October 8.

With several deadlines arriving within a few weeks, experienced players should avoid treating preparation as a last-minute activity. If you need additional equipment for your preferred builds, U4N provides an option to buy ARC Raiders Trinkets while you finish your remaining objectives.

The main goal is to enter September with as little unfinished work as possible. Complete limited events, make a clear decision about quest progression, finish Caravan requirements, and strengthen your resource reserves. That preparation can help you spend more time enjoying the next content phase and less time repeating tasks you could have finished beforehand.
